Lake District

The Lake District is the most popular tourist destination in England and offers an array of activities for its visitors. It’s also one of the most popular destinations for log cabin and lodge holidays in the UK. With its high peaks (Scafell Pike is in this region and is the highest peak in England) and lakes in abundance, outdoor enthusiasts are spoilt for choice. Log cabin holidays in the Lake District are one of the best ways to really feel like you’re getting back to nature.

The Lake District is a great place for enjoying walking, hiking, cycling or simply a spot of relaxation, as well as other favourite pastimes such as fishing, sailing and generally exploring the area. Take a boat trip on one of the many lakes or have a Michelin starred meal in one of the high quality restaurants.

As well as the outdoor adventures there are a number of small towns and villages to explore in the Lake District, which include Windermere, Ambleside, Keswick, Grasmere and Coniston. Each place offers something different, from river boat cruises, quaint shops, homely tea rooms and traditional English pubs.

Contained within the Lake District National Park is Grizedale Forest. Here you can enjoy some great mountain bike trails, tree top adventures and it also has a visitor centre for a cup of coffee and a piece of cake.

So after exploring what do you do then? Well its simply time to relax. Many of our cabins have hot tubs and private verandas so that you can truly unwind in the comfort of your cabin and maybe even a little glass of champagne.

So, if you would like to enjoy lodges or log cabins, many with hot tubs and idyllic settings and peaceful surroundings, then a log cabin stay in the Lake District is the perfect place to visit.
