White Tor Lodge is a superb barn conversion situated on a rare breed farm in amidst the dramatic scenery of Dartmoor National Park.

The lodge has been expertly renovated to incorporate stunning traditional features, such as a stone fireplace and wood burning stove, with state of the art facilities and finishings, to provide guests with luxurious, welcoming accommodation.

The interior is spacious and bright, and looks out onto a lovely sunny garden. Perfect for a morning coffee or al fresco dinner on a warm summer evening.

With stunning, panoramic views over Dartmoor, White Tor Lodge is an idyllic place for a relaxing countryside retreat.

The lodge consists of two bedrooms: one king-size double, and one ground floor twin. There is a bathroom with a bath, separate shower, basin and WC. There is also a ground floor shower room with a shower, basin and WC.

The open plan living area is large and spacious, with a kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area and cosy sitting area complete with wood burning stove. A perfect place to relax on chillier evenings or when the weather is less than idea.

General amenities include: oil central heating with a wood burning stove, an electric oven and hob, a microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine.

There is a TV with Freeview, a DVD player, and a selection of books, games, toys and DVDs, offering plenty of entertainment for the whole family, whatever the weather.

Fuel, power, bed linen and towels and the starter pack for stove are all included in the rent. There is also a cot, highchair and stair gate.

There is off road parking with space for two cars. One well-behaved pet is welcome. Sorry, no smoking. The nearest shop is three miles away, and the nearest pub just one mile.

Seasonal egg collecting and lamb feeding may be available, by prior arrangement with the owner.

Please note: there are two steps down to access prop and two steps down to access ground floor bedroom.

Tavistock is a charming historic town, with a pannier market, pubs and ancient Cornish history. If you’re keen on the history of the area, the restored Victorian mining village at Morwhellam Quay is fantastic. Further afield, the harbour at Looe is a perfect example of a quintessential Cornish harbour.

Why not marvel at the wonderful scenery of the Tamar Valley as you take a train from Gunnislake to Plymouth? Or if you’re feeling more adventurous, there’s a lovely walk from the Honicombe Manor lodge to Cotehele, where you can enjoy woodland walks and formal gardens. Or you can make use of the stunning golf course at St Mellion.

The area also offers very convenient access to Dartmoor and the stunning Cornish coasts, with beautiful sandy beaches within easy reach.

White Tor Lodge is welcoming and comfortable, and makes an ideal base for a relaxing rural break exploring this picturesque area.
