The Blackwood Forest lodges in Micheldever comprises hundreds of acres of beech trees. On the edge of this forest you will find a wonderful place to escape to, far away from the busyness of our daily lives.

Here there is a group of delightful lodges, nestled within the landscape and surrounded by nature at its best. The park is part of the Forestry Commission estate, which means that the landscape is well cared for and rich with both animal and plant life.

A great place to explore whichever way appeals; walking and cycling are both great ways to travel around this abundant forestry area.

Blackwood Forest Lodges facilities

Each lodge comes complete with its own privately situated outdoor hot tub (apart from Copper Beech lodge). Inside you will find flat screen TV, fully fitted kitchen with useful microwave and dishwasher, and a bathroom with bath or shower.

The veranda come complete with garden furniture and each lodge is heated for cooler days. The lodges come with a variety of bedroom sizes, enabling you to choose the one most suitable for you.

Pets are allowed at the Black Forest Lodges but only in specific lodges and at a cost of £10 per night

Hampshire is a wonderful county with not only beaches and seaside amusements to entertain but all of this is set within wonderful countryside. For the energetic ones amongst us, you will even find some lively nightlife to while away the early hours.

Because you are situated only a few miles away from Bournemouth, Southampton and Portsmouth, you will find a wonderful array of bars and restaurants along with a whole range of other varied entertainment. Winchester and its cathedral is also a great place to visit and the New Forest is just on the doorstep.

Popular local attractions include Highclere Castle (as shown in the TV series Downton Abbey) and the Motor Museum in Beaulieu. So quiet and peaceful is the area, you may find it difficult to believe that you are only 1hr away from London.

Kiddies within the family will delight in a trip to Marwell Zoo or even the Queen Elizabeth Country Park. Alternatively, you may just wish to relax in style at your lodge and break up the day with an occasional stroll or even cycle ride.
