Castle View Lodge, Tattershall Park

The Castle View Lodge is set in a stunning location, right on the edge of Duck Lake. This is located in Tattershall Lakes Country Park. Castle View Lodge overlooks the spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Built in a traditional, timber-roller style, designed specifically to make the most of the scenery. The lodge really helps to create the rustic, peaceful atmosphere of a tranquil lakeside retreat.

At the water’s edge can be found a large, covered veranda. This is complete with furniture and a hot tub. Perfect for whiling away the hours unwinding and gazing at the lovely view.

Tattershall Park itself is fantastic for families, offering plenty of water sports and activities to ensure guests are always entertained. Plus, nearby beaches provide a stunning backdrop for enjoying Lincolnshire’s rural beauty.

Castle View lodge accommodation

The lodge has three bedrooms. One double with a dressing room and en-suite shower, basin and WC. Plus two twins. The main bathroom has a bath with a shower over, basin and WC.

The open plan living area is large and comfortable, with a fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric fire.

The lodge benefits from a private veranda to the side of the property, with a table, chairs and hot tub. An ideal place for a long summer evening basking in the stunning surroundings.

General amenities include: LPG central heating with a electric fire in the seating area, a gas oven and hob, a microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher.

There is a TV with Freeview and a DVD player. There is also a selection of books, games and DVDs, so guests will never be short on entertainment, whatever the weather.

Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent and a travel cot and highchair are available on request.

Two adult bikes are available for use, and there is off road parking with space for two cars.

There is an on-site shop and bar/restaurant within a five-minute walk, and a communal, coin-operated washing machine.

NB: There are spiral stairs leading to the first floor, or an optional external staircase. The veranda is unfenced and children should be supervised at all times. No hen/stag parties or similar. There is an RAF base nearby and there may be some related noise. The on-site facilities are available all year round except in January and February. During these months there is a shop in Tattershall village, just a 15-minute walk away.

Tattershall Park itself is fantastic for families. It offers a vast array of activities to ensure guests are always entertained. Take a relaxing walk and discover the wildlife in the dappled woodland, while away the hours enjoying a spot of coarse fishing on one of the three lovely lakes or admire the views from the fantastic, 18-hole gold course. For a more active day there are lots of activities and sports on offer, which cater for the whole family, such as a 60 acre water skiing and wakeboard lake, a 45 acre jet skiing lake and a cable wakeboard lake. There are plenty of conveniences too, with two bars on site, a restaurant, a children’s play area and supermarket.

The surrounding area is rich in sights and entertainment. Nearby Tattershall Castle, Belvoir Castle, Burghley House and Belton House are all great places to discover more about the history of the area. Visitors should also head to Lincoln to admire its stunning cathedral, wander around its medieval streets, and enjoy its quirky shops and traditional pubs. Just slightly further afield are the nature reserves at Donna Nook and Gibraltar Point, well worth a visit on a sunny summer’s day.
