Cornfield Lodge is located on a working arable farm with horses and llamas, and just outside the picturesque market town of Northallerton, Cornfield Lodge has been meticulously designed and hand crafted to create a stunning, stylish holiday home of the utmost luxury and comfort.

Detached and secluded, the lodge is spacious and bright, fitted with state of the art amenities, and with plenty of quintessential period features, such as exposed beams, combining the ultimate of modern conveniences and luxury with traditional log cabin charm.

This luxury also extends onto the lodge’s large balcony, where guests can relax and admire the beautiful farmland views whilst enjoying drinks or a leisurely al fresco meal.

Cornfield Lodge accommodation

Cornfield lodge has two bedrooms: one king-size double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, and one twin. There is a main shower room with a shower, basin and WC.

The open plan living space is comfortable and large, with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area.
There is a lovely balcony, complete with furniture and BBQ, as well as open grassed areas to the sides of the lodge, perfect for long, relaxing evenings enjoying the peace and quiet.

General amenities include: LPG under floor heating, an electric oven and hob, a microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The cabin is equipped with plenty of entertainment, including a TV with Freeview, a DVD player, Wi-Fi, and a great selection of books, DVDs and games.

Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent and a cot and highchair are available on request. There is ample off road parking and secure bike storage available by prior arrangement. Sorry, no pets and no smoking.

There are shops and pubs just one mile away.

NB: The property is accessed by three steps up to the balcony and the front door, so care must be taken.

Cornfield Lodge surrounding area

Northallerton itself is a quintessential county market town, situated in a stunning position between the Wiske and the Cod Beck rivers, with the Hambleton Hills to one side and the Yorkshire Dales to the other.

The town is pretty and lively, with market days on both Wednesdays and Saturdays and a local farmers’ market on the fourth Wednesday of every month. There is also an impressive array of shops and attractions on offer, including the famous Betty’s Tea Rooms and plenty of excellent pubs and restaurants.

Slightly further afield, Thirsk is another charming town, with a race course, a pretty cobbled market square and little alleyways filled to the brim with traditional teashops, and the impressive cathedral cities of York and Ripon are just a short drive away.

Of course you cannot visit this part of England without soaking up the breath taking scenery, and there is an abundance of walking and cycling trails all around the area, for all abilities, allowing visitors to take in the wonderful surroundings of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, all easily accessible from this stylish, comfortable cabin base.
