Dartmoor View Lodges – Highampton, Devon

A unique opportunity to stay in a really cosy, authentic Log Cabin.  Our Log Cabins, or Lodges, are constructed from 8″ pine logs and are exceptionally warm and welcoming.  The Lodges – Bluebells, Buttercups & Brambles offer clean, comfortable accommodation and have views which are absolutely stunning – right across miles of beautiful Devon countryside to Dartmoor which is about 10 miles in the distance.

Our accommodation has been awarded with a 3 star rating by VisitEngland who inspect regularly thereby guaranteeing top quality.  All three are south facing with undercover patio.  Parking on your own driveway alongside your Lodge and garden area for your picnics or for the children to play in.  Our Lodges are fully furnished for up to four people, and are centrally placed for both the north and south coasts of Devon, and for the North Cornwall Coast – Widemouth Bay being a particular favourite.

Holiday for 7 nights or take a short break – in Buttercups and Brambles there are single beds that can convert into bunks so an additional bed can be accommodated for a fifth person if required.  There is a shower room with electric shower and the water is mains, so no problem with pressure!  There are heaters in all rooms and a log-burner in the living area.

We ask for a £100 security deposit which will be refunded in full within 2 weeks of your holiday, providing there is no damage to the property.  Go through to our website for more details.  Once you have paid your deposit, an invoice will be sent to you which will clearly show the details. We are very flexible with regards booking days and the duration of your stay.

Bluebells

This 3 star lodge caters for up to four people and has one double bed and one twin room. The lodge has all the latest mod cons in the kitchen and in the lounge there’s a flat screen TV/DVD.  The lodge is south facing for all those long summer nights and there is a picnic bench to the rear of the property.  Free WiFi through-out.

Bluebells lodge is a pet free zone.

Buttercups & Brambles

These authentic lodges can cater for one extra person as there are single beds that convert into bunks so an additional bed can be used.  Buttercups is pet free whilst Brambles is pet friendly and we welcome up to 2 dogs for a small additional fee. These two log cabins have the same outstanding, uninterrupted views across the Dartmoor countryside and enjoy the same south facing perspective. With all the latest mod cons you will need, including free Wi-Fi, you can relax in this peaceful and tranquil environment.

A stay in one of our lodges costs from £255 for a 3 night (minimum) break in the low season, with additional nights costing £85 and a weekly saver costing £395 – up to £595 for a full week in the high season summer holidays.        Xmas, Easter and Spring Bank weeks cost £495 unless subject to a special offer. The area

We are situated in Ruby country with it’s fantastic selection of trails for walkers, cyclists and horse riders.  The village of Hatherleigh is about 4 miles away and has a good selection of cafes and shops, there’s also a pub and a new skatepark.  The bustling town of Okehampton is a further 7 miles away.  In the opposite direction about 7 miles away lies the pretty market town of Holsworthy with the beautiful beaches of Bude a further 9 miles away.
