Downs Farm Lodges are a small complex of five superb lodges nestled in the lovely private estate of the owner’s family farm.

The lodges are secluded and private, and all have beautiful rural views. Located handily close to lots of local amenities, they provide ideal accommodation for a convenient, countryside retreat in this picturesque area.

Downs Farm Lodges – The Copse accommodation

The south-facing lodge consists of one bedroom with a king-size bed and luxurious en-suite wet room shower with WC.

The open plan living area is spacious and comfortable. With an iPod dock and a traditional wood burning stove.

Outside is a private veranda complete with garden furniture, BBQ and fabulous hot tub. South facing, it’s a fantastic suntrap and a perfect place for a long, lazy summer day or evening spent relaxing and soaking up the tranquil rural atmosphere.

There is also a communal “hub” just a short walk from the lodge, with a seating area around a fire-pit and beautiful views over the lake and surrounding scenery.

General amenities include: a double hob and fridge/freezer.

Bed linen, towels, heating and Wi-Fi are all included in the rent.

There is ample secure parking situated a little bit away from the lodge.

The nearest pub and shop are just a mile away. Sorry, no pets.

Please note: there is no TV in the property. It is pedestrian access only to the lodges, but luggage will be transported to and from your lodge. Sorry, no babies or children.

Downs Farm Lodges – The Copse surrounding area

This area of England is lush and green. With rolling hills and ancient history to discover, it’s a fantastic place to spend a while discovering. Just two miles from the lodges is the market town of Wallingford – home of Agatha Christie and Midsomer Murders!

Of course the historic, world-famous city of Oxford is an absolute must-visit. Walk the famous university cloister and have tea in one of the city’s many traditional tearooms. Visitors will love to wander around the charming, picturesque villages of the Cotswolds. There are plenty of walking opportunities in the area as well, such a the Ridgeway Trail and Cotswold Wildlife Park.

After a day spent taking in the lovely rural sights of beautiful Oxfordshire, guests will love returning to their welcoming, luxurious lodge, to relax in the hot tub and plan the next day’s activities.
