This eco friendly accommodation boasts the use of coppiced wood. This is taken from the coppice tree which continually regrows. This is one of the many reasons that makes the Bivouac log cabin a real eco friendly accommodation.

As well as the Bivouac log cabin there is additional accommodation on offer on site. These include meadow yurts and bunk barns.

The Bivouac log cabin and other woodland cabins

The Bivouac log cabin and other woodland shacks offers eco friendly accommodation for up to 7 people. There is one king size bed, one double and three single beds. There is a range oven and gas hob for cooking, hot water, which is heated by a wood burner, but, not surprisingly there is no electricity. Therefore, it is advisable to take a torch.

Each of the woodland shacks are spread throughout the woodland and each have wonderful views of the valley. These views can be enjoyed from the privacy of your own veranda.

Each of the shacks contain a variety of up-cycled items which help to provide the eco friendly feel to the accommodation. There is a wood fired stove and rocking chairs, perfect for relaxing in after a day out exploring.

The remainder of the shacks include open plan living areas, with sink, the wood burner and a range of shelving for cooking utensils and crockery. There is a lovely lounge area and a separate bathroom which has a shower, sink and toilet. Unfortunately, hot showers cannot be guaranteed at the shacks as the hot water is generated through the wood burning stove. Although guests are more than welcome to use the shower facilities that are located near the reception barn.
