Description

Endymion Lodge, Colchester

Endymion Lodge is one of five detached lodges situated on the Wakes Hall Estate, nestled in the stunning Colne Valley on the Essex/Suffolk border.

Each lodge has been designed and finished to an exceptional standard. They all have large verandahs, which make an ideal spot for enjoying a morning coffee in the sun, or some al fresco cocktails on a warm summer evening spent admiring the lovely view. Every lodge also boasts its own, fabulous hot tub, which gives just that little bit of added luxury to make your stay even more special.

Surrounded by rolling English countryside, the lodges provide an idyllic retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Guests can wander around the beautiful grounds, admiring the views and local wildlife and discovering the picturesque woodland, or perhaps enjoy a spot of fishing in the stunning lake, which is well-stocked with Carp and Roach.

A local post office and shop are within easy walking distance, as well as a friendly local pub that sits beside the River Colne and serves locally brewed beer.

Furthermore, various local beauty salons provide a full range of services for lodge guests, and visitors can even arrange for a fully trained chef to create a mouth watering meal for them in the comfort of their own lodge.

Endymion Lodge accommodation

The lodge consists of two bedrooms, one en-suite bathroom and one en-suite shower room. All accommodation is on the ground floor, and doorways and pathways are wheelchair accessible.

A spacious, furnished decking area – including the hot tub – completes the property. A real sun trap, the decking is a peaceful, private setting that allows guests to unwind and bask in the lovely, tranquil surroundings.

General amenities include: state of the art eco technology, electric heating, an electric hob and oven, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a washer/dryer.

The lodge boasts two smart TVs and a superb quality sound system, as well as Wi-Fi, so guests will never be short on entertainment, even when the weather is less than ideal.

There is ample parking available, and up to two, well-behaved, dogs are welcome.

A travel cot and highchair are available, but please note that cot bedding is not supplied, so guests are advised to bring their own.

Minimum of a three night stay.
