Home Farm lodges are set in a truly peaceful rural location, overlooking river meadows and tranquil parkland. The lodges are traditional in style, and provide a fabulous, comfortable break with all the romance of a rustic cabin retreat.

Just six miles from historic York, the accommodation is ideally located for an enjoyable holiday spent exploring the sights and history of the stunning surrounding area.

Home Farm lodges accommodation

The Home Farm lodges are made up of two Scandinavian, two bedroom lodges, with stylish decor and state of the art facilities.

A particular highlight is the verandahs, which provide secluded sun traps that are perfect for a morning coffee or an al fresco drink or two on a balmy evening. Some lodges even boast their own hot tubs. A real touch of luxury, there is no better way to unwind and admire the lovely views (in Beech and Oak lodges only).

General amenities include: a TV/DVD player, and CD player/radio. While the kitchen is well-equipped and includes a microwave.

Rent includes bed linen, duvets and towels, as well as gas and electricity. In addition, travel cots and highchairs are available for £10pw each.

Pets are also welcome, at £40pw or £20 per short break each (max 2).

Apart from their fabulous hot tub, the first destination for any guest should be historic York. A beautiful, elegant city, it boasts an incredible array of fine architecture and fascinating history. Wander around the city walls, ancient gates and glorious Minster – England’s largest Gothic church. The award-winning Jorvik Viking Museum gives valuable insight into the heritage of the local area. And of course, there are lots of bustling shops, cafes, pubs and excellent restaurants to enjoy.

Meanwhile, the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors; are easily accessible, for those looking for a real outdoor retreat. Enjoy the hundreds of walking trails throughout this spectacular region. Admire beautiful, rolling hills, endless skies and breathtaking views.

For a somewhat more relaxing way to admire the scenery, golf enthusiasts will love the popular course at Sandburn Hall. Set in the wonderful Vale of York, this course with its lakes, streams and woodlands is suitable for all ages and abilities. A truly beautiful setting for a relaxing round of golf. Similarly, Redwood Park Fishing boasts three fishing lakes, a wildlife trail and visitors’ centre.
