The Lodge On The Lake log cabin is located in the Fallbarrow Holiday Park in Windermere and rests directly on the shore on Lake Windermere.

Outside you’ll find a large decked area which gives you direct access to the Lodge On The Lakes private beach area coupled with it’s stunning open views across Lake Windermere and it’s quiet location on the park itself, the Lodge On The Lake will make a wonderful and luxurious retreat for families and couples alike.

The nearest towns to the Lodge On The Lakes are Bowness-On-Windermere and Ambleside both of which are ideally situated for a wide variety of outdoor activities, famous and historical attractions as well as stunning natural beauty spots and only a short drive away from the lodge. On site there is a family friendly restaurant, pub with beer garden and shop for your convenience. The pub and shop are a 2 minute walk away from the lodge.

Lodge On The Lake Accommodation

The Lodge On The Lake is stunningly beautiful and luxurious with plenty of space and privacy. You can expect beautifully decorated open plan living as well as a large decked area on the outside.

The bright spacious living area, tastefully decorated in nautical blue and white soft furnishings and light wooden accessories and floor add to the feeling of complete relaxation you get the moment you see the lodge with your own eyes.

The kitchen set aside from the rest of the living area while still being open plan is decorated to match the rest of the living space and includes an electric oven, gas hobs, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher offering all you could need for your stay.

There is also furniture and a BBQ outside on the decked area overlooking Lake Windermere, perfect for entertaining or relaxing when the weather is warm.

The 3 ground floor bedrooms offer both luxury and convenience depending on you and your guests needs. With one king size double bedroom which has an en-suite shower, basin and WC along with one double bedroom and one twin bedroom you won’t be lacking in space or adaptability.
There is also a contemporary shower room with shower, basin and WC.

Along with gas central heating throughout the lodge there is also an electric fire in the lounge area which is also fully equipped with a Freeview TV, DVD player, radio, Wi-Fi, and a selection of books and games to help you thoroughly enjoy your stay.

Included with the rental is all fuel and power, bed linen and towels, cot and a high chair. There is off road parking for 2 cars.

NB. Sorry, no pets or smoking allowed. Due to the waterside location children must be supervised. There are also 3 steps to access the lodge.
Internet access may also vary across the site, there are computers available on site FOC.

Lodge On The Lake Surrounding Area

The towns of Bowness-On-Windermere and Ambleside both provide a range of attractions and activities that appeal to the many visitors of the Lake District and with a wide variety of shops and restaurants to choose from, you are sure to find something that appeals to you.

In Windermere you will also find an 18 hole golf course, perfect for a more relaxing holiday.

In the surrounding areas you can also find historical attractions and locations including Beatrix Potter’s Hill Top House in Sawrey, Orrest Head, where Alfred Wainwright was inspired to write his series of guidebooks, is only a 15-minute walk away.

Boating trips are available from Bowness to Ambleside and Lakeside, where you will find both the Lakeside Aquarium and Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway.

You can also visit The Armitt, a small museum, library and gallery with interesting collections, which offers the story of the area through the ages located in Ambleside.

For more energetic and outdoor activities you will also find a variety of water sports available as well as scenic hikes and walks, mountain biking and forest parks. You can also find the Go Ape adventure park and the Lakeland Mountains which includes England’s highest, Scafell Pike.

Overall the Lodge On The Lake and it’s surrounding areas offer beautiful scenery, fabulous outdoor activities and relaxing attractions as well as luxurious water side accommodation.
