North Lakes Lodges Cumbria
North Lakes Lodges are a collection of exceptional log cabins nestled in the Brayton Park Estate close to the Lake District National Park. Surrounded on all sides by the spectacular Cumbrian countryside, the lodges have views stretching over the Uldale Fells, Skiddaw, Whinlatter Forest and the Scottish Hills. They are idyllically placed for a wonderful rural escape in one of the UK’s most stunning regions.
The park itself offers an excellent restaurant and pub, as well as fishing and golfing opportunities.

North Lakes Lodges accommodation
Guests can choose from a selection of fantastic one, two and three bedroom lodges, all overlooking a tranquil lake.
The lodges have been expertly designed to combine all the rustic ambience of a rural cabin with state of the art amenities. Providing the ultimate in luxurious, relaxing accommodation.
A particular highlight, each lodge has large doors that lead out to a patio with hot tub. These lovely, secluded spots are real sun traps and make an idyllic place to while away balmy summer evenings, basking in the stunning surroundings.
Inside, there is a spacious living area, complete with cosy sofas and a screen TV with Freeview and DVD player. There is also a Wi-Fi connection, so there is plenty to keep you entertained even when the weather is less than ideal.
Meanwhile, a well-equipped kitchen includes a microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine.
Rent includes bed linen, duvets and towels, as well as gas and electricity. Cots and highchairs are also available free of charge.

The tranquility and convenience of this fabulous park may well mean that you struggle to venture any further afield. There are hundreds of excellent walking and cycling trails right on the doorstep, all with breathtaking views of the beautiful, varied countryside. There is also an abundance of wildlife to discover. Head to RSPB Mersehead for wonderful scenery and peaceful walking trails through beautiful meadows full of lapwings and skylarks, butterflies and wild flowers. In the autumn, thousands of migrating barnacle and pink-footed geese arrive for the winter, creating an unmissable spectacle.
The area is also full of fascinating history to discover. Honister Slate Mine offers fully-guided tours where you can learn about the history and incredible features of the mine, as well as the current mine workings. Slightly further afield, Carlisle Castle is an imposing building which has housed some famous guests in its time. Not least Mary Queen of Scots, who was imprisoned here.
