Nunland Hillside Lodges surrounding area
Rugged coastlines, sandy beaches, imposing highlands and serene lochs are just some features that make this glorious area of Scotland a fine rural destination. There is a vast array of beautiful walking and cycling trails right on the doorstep of the lodges, all providing incredible views of the spectacular scenery. Elsewhere, Sandyhills to Rockcliffe Coastal Path boasts some of the best views in Britain, stretching over the Solway to Cumbria and the Isle of Man. Or Delbeattie Forest offers over 10 miles of varied cycle trails linking Dalbeattie to Colvend, Sandy hills and Kippford. With plenty of routes to choose from, as well as lots of different terrains, there is something here for the whole family.
No visit to this stunning region would be complete without a trip to one of the incredible nearby beaches. Sandy Hills Beach is a large, dog friendly sandy beach that makes a great day out for the whole family. With a cafe and small shop, as well as public toilets and a large car park, it’s an ideal destination for a whole day spent sunbathing, picnicking and swimming. Alternatively, Kippford Beach is a picturesque little gem, made up almost entirely of cockle shells. At the end of a quiet coastal walkway, it’s a lovely spot for watching the ocean disappear into the distance.
Finally, after an exciting day exploring, simply relax in your hot tub and soak up the breathtaking views.
