Oak Lodge Glasshouse near Gloucester

Oak Lodge accommodation
All ground floor, Oak Lodge consists of two lovely bedrooms: one king-size double with an en-suite shower, basin and WC, and one twin. The main bathroom has a bath with a shower over, a basin and WC.
There is a bright, spacious, open plan living area, with a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric fire.
Double doors lead out onto the front decked area, which is a idyllic spot for a morning coffee or lazy evening spent basking in the lovely, tranquil surroundings.
General amenities include: gas central heating with an electric fire, an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher.
There is a TV with FreeSat, a DVD player, a CD player/radio, as well as Wi-Fi and a great selection of books, games and DVDs, so guests will never be short on entertainment, no matter what the weather decides to do.
Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent.
There is off road parking with space for two cars, and convenient, lockable bike storage.
The nearest shop is a mile away, and the pub just a three-minute walk. Sorry, no pets and no smoking.

Oak Lodge surrounding area
Glasshouse is a picturesque rural hamlet, nestled the foot of May Hill. Surrounded by ancient woodland it has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Despite its small size, it has a lovely historic village pub, which serves excellent food and ales.
The area is rich in ancient history. The nearby villages of Mitcheldean and Newent are an absolute must-visit, with ancient half-timbered houses and narrow streets, traditional inns and quaint tearooms.
The Royal Forest of Dean is a stunning place to spend the day, with an abundance of walking, cycling and horseback trails to enjoy. There are also plenty of activities such as fishing, golf, kayaking and even – for the more adventurous visitors – caving.
Slightly further afield, the beautiful town of Gloucester boasts many impressive historic sites such as Roman foundations, Victorian docklands and a stunning Norman Cathedral. Or hop across the Welsh border into the Brecon Beacon National Park, which boasts incredible, dramatic views over the mountains.
