Oak View Lodge South Molton Devon
Oak View lodge is one of four fantastic properties situated on the edge of a lake. With views out over the beautiful, peaceful water, the lodge is an idyllic place to spend a romantic retreat in this spectacular area.
The lodge itself has been excellently designed to combine luxurious, state of the art facilities with all the romance of a rustic log cabin. Each property has its own a private garden, as well as access to an ornamental lake with garden, and a tranquil woodland garden beyond. Guests are invited to make use of the available discount for fishing in the three-acre carp lake, and spend a leisurely day taking in the lovely, tranquil atmosphere of this lovely place.
Oak View lodge accommodation
Oak View consists of one bedroom with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath, separate shower and WC. The open plan living area is large and spacious, with a TV, DVD player and traditional wood burning stove. It’s a lovely space to relax in after a long day walking in the stunning countryside, or on chillier evenings when the weather is less than ideal.
Patio doors lead onto the main patio area with a table, chairs, BBQ and sun loungers. It’s a real sun trap, and perfect for a morning coffee or a long summer evening soaking up the sun. To the front of the cabin is a further decked area that looks out over the lake.
There is also a shed where guests can store boots, shoes, fishing equipment and outdoor clothes. Ben linen, towels, Wi-Fi, electricity and the logs for the fire are all included in the rent. Sorry, no pets and no smoking.
The nearest shops and pubs are just a mile away. Each lodge has its own ample parking space.

Surrounded by ancient woodland, and stunning coastal scenery, guests at Oak View can enjoy a vast array of walking trails throughout the area. Wander through the woodland to discover lots of local wildlife. Learn to surf at one of the sweeping beaches, or admire the dramatic views from atop the impressive cliffs, before indulging in a famous Devonshire cream tea in one of the areas picturesque villages, like Clovelly or Porlock. For a livelier day out head to Barnstaple with its theatre, cinema, clubs and shops or Bideford with an attractive waterfront and the very popular Burton Gallery Arts Centre.
There are also lots of fantastic places and sites to discover, which are great all year round, such as spectacular Exmoor National Park, The Milky Way and Lundy Island. Meanwhile sporting enthusiasts can enjoy a round of golf at the Royal Devon Golf Club in Westward Ho!, or perhaps take a boat trip from Appledore quayside to go deep-sea fishing.
