Parmontley Hall Lodges are set in the most incredible setting, nestled in the heart of the historic Whitfield Estate. Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the park boasts an excellent bar/lounge. (Available weekends only Mar 1-Nov 30). Secluded and private, with wonderful, panoramic views over the North Pennines are plenty of surrounding nature and wildlife, these lodges are an idyllic destination for a rural escape.

Guests can choose from a selection of deluxe, two and three bedroom lodges. All have been exquisitely designed to enhance the magnificent natural setting. Each lodge boasts a verandah for soaking up the exceptional views, with hot tubs completing the luxury. What better way to relax under the stars?
General amenities include flat screen TVs with Freesat, as well as a Wi-Fi connection. So there is plenty of entertainment to be had no matter what the weather decides to do. Every property has a well-equipped kitchen including microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer.
Rent includes bed linen, duvets and towels, in addition to gas and electricity. Travel cots and highchairs are also available for £10pw each.

Parmontley Hall Lodges surrounding area
Wonderful walks and cycle trails abound right from the doorstep of this spectacular park, with the fantastic Elk’s Head Inn just a short stroll away. The whole area is also rich in history, with Hexham Abbey and world-famous Hadrian’s Wall both easily accessible. Deliv into the history of mining on the North Pennines at Nethead Mines. Learn about the people that worked there, the lifestyle they led and the impact the mine has had on the social and cultural history of the area.
Slightly further afield, Pow HIll Country Park is a stunning moorland park on the banks of the Derwent Reservoir and makes a beautiful way to spend the day.
Elsewhere, there are lots of quaint rural villages within easy reach, boasting plenty of local shops and traditional tearooms. Or for those seeking a vibrant nightlife, the bustling city of Newcastle is only an hour’s drive away, and provides loads of shopping opportunities, and excellent bars, restaurants and clubs.
