Penvale Lakes Lodges is a collection of exceptional log cabins nestled in a secluded valley just outside picturesque Llangollen. Surrounded on all sides by stunning scenery and panoramic views, they provide an ideal base for a rural escape for the whole family.

All the lodges are incredibly comfortable and really make the most of the breathtaking setting. Some even feature a whole wall of windows that let in loads of light and show off the beautiful views to their best.

While the park itself provides a fantastic array of entertainment and activities, including: an outdoor heated pool and a gym. As well as outdoor fun such as trout fishing, an outdoor adventure playground and woodland walks. There is also a selection of board games available, for a relaxing night in.

Guests can choose from a selection of exceptional, one and two storey lodges. Designed in traditional Canadian style, the properties artfully combine plenty of rustic ambience with state of the art facilities. So guests want for nothing throughout their stay.

A particular highlight, the huge cathedral windows provide ample opportunity to look out over the dramatic surroundings. While some deluxe lodges even boast their very own outdoor hot tubs. What better way to unwind with a drink or two, or even enjoy a spot of stargazing on a clear night? (in Saltspring Lodge VIP, Birches Lodge VIP and Valley View Cottage VIP only)

General amenities include: Wi-Fi (except Valley View Cottage VIP), a flat screen TV with Freeview/DVD player, as well as a CD player and bluetooth music system. So there is plenty of entertainment on offer no matter what the weather is doing.

Every lodge has a fantastic designer kitchen including microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer.

Rent includes bed linen, duvets and towels, in addition to gas and electricity. Complimentary luxury toiletries are provided for you, and travel cost and highchairs are also available for £10pw each max 2) (in specific Penvale Ontario and Birches Lodge VIP only).

In addition, pets are welcome, charged at £50pw each.

For those looking for a slightly more relaxing way to admire the scenery, Mold Golf Club boasts an 18 hole uplands course, offering extensive views of the Clwyd Hills, Cheshire and the Peak District. Facilities include a practice ground, putting green and club house.

The whole area is also rich in history. Nearby Greenfield Valley Heritage Park has a museum with an attractive collection of original and reconstructed local buildings including a 16th century farmhouse.
