Perriwinkle log cabin, Bude, North Cornwall

Perriwinkle log cabin is one of four, Scandanavian-style lodges on this lovely site in the heart of the Cornish countryside. All the lodges are secluded and south facing, with lots of sunlight and beautiful views over the nearby river and green fields. Excellently designed, the lodges provide comfortable, welcoming accommodation with all the rustic ambience of a traditional log cabin.

Guests can while away the hours on their private decking area, or spend a leisurely morning enjoying a spot of fishing in one of the two onsite coarse fishing ponds, which are well stocked with roach, bream and carp. With plenty of beautiful walking trails right on the doorstep, and peaceful, private accommodation to enjoy, the lodges are an idyllic location for a romantic countryside getaway or a countryside retreat for the whole family.

Perriwinkle log cabin accommodation

Perriwinkle is comprised of one double bedroom, one twin room, a shower room with WC and an open plan living area. The living space is bright and cosy, and has a TV with Freeview and a DVD player. The comfortable sofas are perfect for curling up in on chillier evenings or when the weather is less than ideal.

Each property boasts a wonderful, suntrap balcony, and Perriwinkle has its own BBQ. Bathed in sunlight for the whole day, it’s a perfect location for dinner al fresco on a balmy summer evening.

General amenities include: a gas cooker, a microwave and fridge with ice box. There is a shared utility room on site, with a coin-operated washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. Bikes, a bike rack and helmets are available, by arrangement with the owner, on arrival. Each lodge also has its own, ample parking.

All bed linen, Wi-Fi, electricity and central heating are included in the rent.

One dog is welcome, charged at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week/part week thereafter.

Cornwall is probably most famous for its dramatic coastline and spectacular beaches. North Cornwall in particular is a favourite destination for surfers, with long, sweeping sands and beautiful cliffs. If surfing isn’t really your thing, then there are lots of stunning little coves to discover, and simply sit, marvelling at the scenery and pounding seas.

The area is awash with English Heritage sites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and numerous National Trust Properties, including The Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Tamar Lakes and the world-famous Eden Project. There are also hundreds of charming fishing villages and towns to wander around. Delight in the quaint cottages and lively harbours, or enjoy some local ale as you listen to some traditional smuggling tales. And of course no trip to Cornwall would be complete without a clotted cream tea!

Private and welcoming, these peaceful lodges provide a truly idyllic base for discovering all that Cornwall has to offer.
