Ribblesdale Lodges are simply stunning. Designed with the utmost luxury in mind, the lodges all have fantastic, state of the art facilities that provide idyllic accommodation surrounded by the spectacular grounds of the Grade 1 listed Gisburn Park Estate.

The Ribble Valley itself was the inspiration for Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings and has been designated an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. With stunning rolling hills and endless views it’s not hard to see why. It’s also a gateway to the magnificent Yorkshire Dales.

The park itself provides excellent amenities to suit the whole family.

Ribblesdale Lodges accommodation

Every lodge has been designed with comfort and luxury in mind. No detail has been left out, and they combine contemporary design with plenty of rural charm. A particular highlight, each property boasts large outdoor decking, complete with fabulous hot tub. With views over the stunning parkland, there really is no better place to unwind and bask in the tranquil atmosphere, or even enjoy a spot of stargazing on a clear night. Barbecue and sun loungers are also available for hire if you want to make a whole day of it.

General amenities include; a flat screen TV/DVD player and CD player, as well as Wi-Fi. While well-equipped kitchens include microwave, dishwasher and fridge/ freezer.

Rent includes bed linen, duvets and towels, in addition to gas and electricity. Travel cots and highchairs are also available free of charge.

Ribblesdale Lodges surrounding area

Just a ten minute walk through the estate you’ll discover the stunning market village of Gisburn, with a delightful pub, award winning Italian restaurant and quaint shops selling local organic produce. While close by is the busy market town of Settle, home of the Settle Carlisle Railway line, which makes for a great way to view the spectacular scenery of the region. The town also had a weekly market and lots of shops.

The surrounding area is just stunning, with the rolling moors and valleys of the Yorkshire Dales and the wild, dramatic area of Bowland all within easy reach. Walk the historic Ribblesdale loop from your lodge (30 minutes walk around the heart of the estate) Gorge on the famous afternoon teas by a roaring log fire in Hindelinis. Let your kids imagination run wild in the 500 acres of woodland or explore the Ribble Valleys award winning restaurants. Or spend a leisurely day fishing in the Stocks Reservoir or enjoying one of the many pretty golf courses. For more adventurous guests there is also pony trekking and even caving.

With plenty of walking and cycling trails right on the doorstep, guests will be able to discover this beautiful area with ease, and always enjoy returning back to the luxurious comfort of the lodge after an exciting day’s sightseeing.
