Sycamore Lodge, Hinston, near Market Drayton
The Sycamore lodge is one of two detached log cabins located in the owners’ four acres of grounds, just a mile outside Hinstock in the beautiful green Shropshire countryside. The open plan living area is bright and airy, with fantastic, state of the art furnishings, and a lovely private decked area which makes for a perfect spot to spend long summer evenings relaxing in the sun, looking out over the lovely green surroundings.
With plenty of beautiful walking opportunities right on the doorstep, Sycamore Lodge is a perfect base from which to explore the area.
Sycamore Lodge accommodation
All on the ground floor, the lodge consists of two bedrooms: one double with en-suite bath, a shower over, basin and WC, and one single. There is a separate basin and WC. The open plan living space is large and spacious, with a modern, fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric fire and double sofa bed. French doors lead out onto a sunny decked area, where guests can enjoy a leisurely morning coffee or warm, lazy evening taking in the beautiful rural scenery.
General amenities include: LPG central heating with an electric fire, gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, a TV with Freeview and a DVD player.
Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent and there is off road parking with space for two cars.
The nearest shop is one mile away and the nearest pub two miles.
One well-behaved dog is welcome. Sorry, no smoking.
Please note: dogs must be kept under control when outside the chalet due to sheep in nearby paddocks. The en-suite bathroom is the only bathroom at this property.
The property offers the following short breaks: winter, off-season and Christmas, making it a lovely place to take a break all year round.
Sycamore Lodge surrounding area
Hinstock is a charming little North Shropshire village just five miles from the attractive town of Market Drayton. Surrounded by lovely countryside and situated close to the River Tern and the Shropshire Union Canal, the village is extremely pretty and has a stunning church, tennis courts, playground and the Quarry Wood Nature Reserve to enjoy.
The entire area is rich in history and offers an abundance of beautiful sights and activities. The lively market town of Market Drayton hosts a famous weekly market, and the town centre boasts many 16th and 17th century half-timbered buildings, including a variety of pubs, restaurants and tearooms.
For even more history to admire, just 11 miles away is Whitchurch, internationally renowned for its clock production dating back to the 1650s, and boasting incredible architecture, from Medieval, Tudor and Georgian times, and dominated by the world famous St. Alkmund’s Church.
Alternatively Ellesmere, with its beautiful nine meres, is a must-see, and the impressive Attingham, Hodnet Hall and Hawkstone Park, Wroxeter Roman City, or the World Heritage Site Ironbridge Gorge with its famous museums, Cosford RAF museum and the medieval towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow.
