This lodge is ideally situated in a peaceful location at the heart of the stunning Scottish Borders, within easy reach of all the rich sites and activities this beautiful region has to offer.
With French doors that lead onto a lovely furnished veranda, and shared use of the owner’s pretty, south facing lawn, guests are given every opportunity to relax and revel in the lovely surroundings.
Cosy and tranquil, the lodge has been lovingly finished to provide a truly comfortable, romantic retreat.
The Spinney Lodge accommodation
All on the ground floor, the lodge consists of one double bedroom, a shower room with a shower, basin and WC, a lovely kitchen and comfortable sitting room with dining space.
The lodge benefits from a lovely, private decking with furniture and the shared use of the owner’s lawn and two acres of field.
General amenities include: electric central heating, an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge and dishwasher.
There is a TV with Freeview, a DVD player, CD player, iPod dock, and a Wi-Fi connection, plus a great selection of books, games and DVDs, so there is plenty of entertainment available for cosy evenings in or when the weather is less than ideal.
Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent.
There is off road parking with space for two cars, as well as lockable bike storage. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Sorry, no smoking.
The nearest shop and pub are two miles away.
The lodge offers the following short breaks: winter, off-season, last minute and Christmas, making it a wonderful place to visit all year round.
The Spinney Lodge surrounding area
Jedburgh is a charming historic town just inside the Scottish Border. It offers lots of shops and lively pubs and excellent restaurants, as well as an abundance of historical sites, such as the Mary Queen of Scots Visitor Centre. Its impressive abbey, which dates all the way back to 1138, plus nearby stately homes including Abbotsford House, Traquair House and Floors Castle are absolutely worth a visit.
Guests can enjoy plenty of outdoor activities in the breath taking countryside surrounding the town, such as plentiful fishing on the Teviot, Tweed and Jed Rivers, or a leisurely day spent on one of the 21 golf courses.
Alternatively, the area is rich with varied scenery and nature to discover. Follow one of the many incredible walking and cycling trails through the green forests, or atop the stunning coastal cliffs, looking out over the beautiful hills.
This Spinney lodge is a real gem. Cosy and well appointed, its location makes for a lovely, romantic retreat as well as an ideal base for exploring everything on offer in this spectacular region.
