Set all on the ground floor, the lodge has two bedrooms: one double with an en-suite bath, basin and WC, and one twin with an en-suite wet room shower, basin and WC. The large, open plan living space has a kitchen, dining area and sitting area, complete with wood burning stove for a touch of warmth and rustic romance.
General amenities include: eco under floor heating and the wood burning stove. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, a microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, and dishwasher.
There are three TVs with Freeview and DVD facilities, and surround sound in the sitting area. There is also an iPod dock and Wi-Fi.
The marvellous outside decked area comes with comfortable furniture, a hot tub and BBQ, perfect for long summer evenings enjoying the tranquil location.
The nearest shop is two miles away, and the pub one mile. Fuel, the starter pack for the wood burner, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent, and a cot and highchair are available on request. There is convenient off road parking with space for cars.
NB: The pond is unfenced, so children must be supervised at all times. The property is equipped to Mobility Level 2. Check-in is 4pm.

If guests can bear to leave the luxurious comfort of the cottage, there is a wealth of interesting places to be discovered. Church Broughton is a lovely picturesque village, perfect for wandering around in the afternoon, complete with a quaint little church and excellent pub, serving fresh, local food.
Just a few miles away is Ashbourne, once a fashionable social hub, this wonderful market down boasts original cobbled lanes, beautiful Georgian buildings to admire and a great variety of shops, restaurants and traditional coaching inns.
For those wishing to explore outside, the National Trust’s Dovedale Valley is a must. Visitors can make use of the plenty of walks and cycling trails to discover and enjoy the stunning scenery.
For something a little livelier, Alton Towers theme park is a short drive away, as well as the city of Derby, with its famous Derby Playhouse and large Westfield shopping centre.
