South Wales

With a log cabin holiday in South Wales, which hosts the cities of Cardiff and Swansea. You can expect of places such as these, a whole host of things to see and partake in. Cardiff not only has a wonderful shopping centre and a whole range of restaurants and cafes, but also beautiful bays and glorious views. Add to this the mix of cultural events on offer and you have a city that will entertain and engage all ages.

Heading towards Monmouth, you will find Tintern Abbey, a mystical, magical place that will provide you with some awesome backdrops to take a few family photos or possibly create some fantastic settings for something more artistic and inspiring. If beaches are what you are looking for, then South Wales provides the famous Gower Peninsula with not only sandy beaches a-plenty but craggy outcrops with rock pools, old castles and acres and acres of heathland. Spread over the whole of Wales you will find many ruined and intriguing old castles and forts and South Wales is no different, Carreg Cennen being just one of them.

Tenby is also a great seaside resort to visit, a traditional town which offers many regional delights such as shopping and dining out, as well as the sands of Carmarthen Bay which stretch endlessly out towards the sea. St David’s is a tiny Welsh City with its very own cathedral, surrounded by coastal walks and hillside treks.

You may wish to explore a bit South Wales by car, visiting the many attractions that offer water sports or maybe you fancy a venture into even more strenuous outdoor activities. Rock climbing, horse riding, cycling; all are available at any time of year.

Finish off with a boat trip to one of the southerly placed islands or partake of a day of leisure watching and following the local animal and birdlife. If the outdoor life is for you, South Wales has plenty to offer. But if the days get chilly or you feel like doing something less physically taxing, hit the shops and chill out in the bars and restaurants.
