The South West of England, or the English Riviera as it is sometimes referred to, offers fantastic scenery, golden sands and dramatic coastlines.

The South Wests popularity stems from it being a great family holiday destination in England and caters visitors for all ages. Of the top tourist attractions in the region, Stonehenge will be one of the highest visited paid attraction and Moors Valley Country Park the highest visited free attraction.

The South West consists mainly of the counties of Cornwall, and Devon and Dorset. Each offers wonderful scenery and a great selection of days out for the whole family. Cornwall offers surfing in Newquay and quaint seaside villages such as St Ives. There are two National Parks including Dartmoor and Exmoor which are great for walking, cycling or a family picnic.

There is the Eden project in Cornwall, zoos and safari parks throughout the region or the natural spring waters and culture in Bath. There are castles, stately homes and museums to enjoy and a great selection of Michelin restaurants for foodies.

Walk the coastal cliffs with your furry friend or catch some rays on the beach. Enjoy a day out at the Big Sheep or cheese rolling at Coopers Hill. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing family holiday, a romantic getaway or a fun and action packed day, then the South West offers something for all tastes and interests.
