With an array of wonderful walks on offer throughout the region, what better way is there to re-fuel in a traditional English pub. Many have roaring fires and sumptuous meals on offer.
As well as the Peak District, historians will be spoilt for choice in Staffordshire with a wide range of castles and stately homes to visit. Weston Park and Shugborough are just two in this area.
The National Forest is also nearby and is nestled in a part of Staffordshire that boasts the National Forest Way. This is a 75 mile long distance walking trail that stretches from the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire right down to the Beacon Hill Country Park in Leicestershire.
