The Coombe Mill Farm has a number of log cabins and lodges, that’s how we came across it. Delving further in to the farm itself and the environment that has been created there makes it a great place for a family holiday.
With a working farm in operation all around you during your stay, Coombe Mill Farm makes a perfect place for children. Kiddies’ tractor rides, supervised by the farmers, run six days a week (well, they do need one day off). The little ones will also get to experience feeding and caring for the animals, ranging from lambs, miniature donkeys and pygmy goats. This means the children don’t encounter any large animals while on the farm. The farmers make the activities both fun and informative. Plus, all of this happens in the morning so it’s a great way to start the day.
There are other activities for the children too. With a secluded fishing lake located within the grounds, there are plenty of fish for any budding anglers to try and catch. The farm also has a number of indoor and outdoor areas that are available for the children to play. Plus, there is a further thirty acres to explore in the private estate.
Coombe Mill Farm is located in St Breward, which is near Bodmin. It is a great spot in Cornwall for exploring the rest of the county. So if you want a day out at the beach or fancy roaming around pretty harbour villages, you will be spoilt for choice.
Coombe Mill Farm has an abundance of accommodations on offer. They have five Scandanavian style lodges and six Riverside lodges. The Scandinavian style lodges cater for up to seven people. So, if you have a large family, or the grandparent’s fancy coming along, there will be more than enough room for everyone.
If you would like to see some more photos, further details or book one of these lodges you can see those here. We are sure you will agree that the Coombe Mill Farm could go a long way to making your break the perfect family holiday.
